Holy Apostles Sports Club (HAS Club) is the brainchild of the Parish Council of Holy Apostles R.C Church Pimlico and launched in response to concerns about the growing number of drug and gang related incidents within the parish.
The Club’s objective is to provide a safe, happy and secure environment for children and young people between the ages of 7 to 18.
The aim is to ‘nip in the bud’ anti-social behaviour by inspiring young people to build confidence and develop a sense of self and social awareness.
HAS Club seeks to achieve this through boxing and football with input from positive role models and police officers and guest speakers from a professional background.
The club now has a programme of junior and assistant coaches – young people who have either stayed on at or volunteer their time to help run the club. In return HAS Club provides Amateur Boxing Association England (ABAE) approved coaching courses through the Police Clubs and Charities of Great Britain (PCCGB).
